He has RP! It is like looking through a peephole. A friend of mine has
just been diagnosed with it recently. Steve sent her a personal email
telling her to "hang in there". It is only a handicap if you let it
be. People with RP have tunnel vision and can only see what is
directly in front of them. It is degenerative and the peephole slowly
closes until there is no sight.
Wynn's eye sight
A very good friend of mine has 1/8 vision in one eye. She is legally blind
but has enough vision that you would be hard pressed to know that she is
handicapped unless totally out of her element. Although legally blind she is
far from "blind".
When I saw Steve walking all the way out front to watch his sign countdown
his opening, he moved well enough and had enough people around him that if
you did not know he had RP you would not have suspected it.
