wynn update...

i suppose he gets to keep his name on the building until then too...

http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/080915/wynn_resorts_ceo.html?.v=1&printer=1

Per the news article, "Wynn received $11.2 million in compensation from the
company last year, including $3.2 million in salary, $7.5 million in
non-equity incentive plan compensation and about $573,000 in other
compensation, mostly for personal use of company aircraft."

Why would an officer RECEIVE compensation for his personal use of company
aircraft? Wouldn't it be the other way around? Shouldn't the officer PAY
the company for his personal use of company aircraft?

he is allowed personal use of the company aircraft, then at the end of the year they W-2 him for the value.

The company paysd the bill when he flies - so it is income and reportable, would be my best guess.

I'll bet this was a knock-down drag out negotiation. Steve's crony
board members asking is 9 million enough? No, is 10 million enough?
No, is 11 million enough? Nice work if you can get it.

well he owns 25% of the company so he is paying 25% of his salary....plus his base is only $3 million or so. that is pretty tame for his contribution----relative to the scandalous salaries of many CEO's in this country with no vested interest. he could probably make more in interest putting his 25% in govt bonds.
