Wynn Update from Rob Singer

You are correct.

"aces_hii" is on the list of Singer aliases that were
passed on to me by the retired Administrator, but
I slipped up and let his post go through.

Sorry about that.

Some good would come from allowing Rob Singer to post here. By
allowing him to post foolish theories and letting the rest of the
board have at it, it would help people who may be taken in by his
other advertisements to understand the error in his reasoning.

Rob Singer is NOT a stupid man. He firmly believes that his theory is
correct. As such, he will not admit that he he "thinks wrong" or that
he deliberately misleads.

I think that he desires attention, and what better way than to be
controversial. He is very very bright in that he acheives his goal of
being constantly talked about.

After MUCH discussion, a few years ago, Rob Singer was allowed to post
on vpFREE, with some restrictions placed on his message content. This
experiment led to a great deal of acrimony and flaming amongst the
list members.

I don't remember if RS left the list voluntarily, or was asked to
refrain from further posting. I do remember that things returned to
more civility and normalcy after his departure.

-Babe-

No, it wouldn't. This great board would quickly descend into the hell that was vp_heaven.
If you want to hash it out with Singer why don't you consider doing it privately or on the appropriate
forum of FREEvpFREE.

Rob Singer voluntarily stopped posting after he decided
that the parameters that he agreed to, and were enforced
via moderation, were too restrictive.

As I recall, Rob's stay on vpFREE was quite tranquil, and
his presence and posts weren't at all disruptive. He wasn't
allowed to refer to his systems, unless briefly responding to
a question, and was required to observe all vpFREE Rules
and Policies.

Of course, vp_heaven is quite another story, which provided
me with a lot of entertainment value for several years.

Sorry Fae,

I'm sure your recollection of the situation is more accurate
than mine.

I believe that what I was actually thinking about was the discussion,
on the board, about whether RS should be ALLOWED to post. I do recall
that some rather strong opinions were expressed during this thread.

I hope you're enjoying your newly found freedom, not to mention free
time!
-Babe-

Dumb question perhaps..... I thought Mr. Singer voluntarily chose years ago to not be a "member". If he chose not to participate in the group why would he desire to post using an alias?

During his brief stint as a member he was very restricted
as to what he could say about his systems.

RS seems to enjoy having his aliases comment favorably
about him or ask leading questions about his systems. This
usually results in responses that give his systems exposure
they wouldn't have gotten otherwise.

Rather like talking to yourself, and then responding with the desired
answer. It's certainly a prudent way to avoid arguments!

Babe

Yeah... I understood 'what' was being done I guess I couldn't figure out 'why'. It just seemed rather juvenile, easily discovered, and seemed to undermine the validity and credibility of the person who would resort to such an approach. If you have to be sneaky and covert doesn't that cause people to wonder about the accuracy of your ideas???

Yes. Let's please stop giving him the exposure he is looking for.
