Wynn Update from Rob Singer on FREEvpFREE

Rob Singer sent me an update on his contacts with Wynn LV,
which says they will be putting in some video poker bartops
and will probably be moving their (9) good machines to a
new location.

I asked him to post the information on FREEvpFREE, which
he has done using an "aces_hii" Yahoo ID:

No thanks. What a cesspool!

So, is it true that people of questionable personal hygiene are still
filling up the chairs at the full pay machines at Wynn? If so, why
would they keep them?

I'm wondering if it's worth the effort to get proficient at Double
Bonus. On my last practice session I only had one error in 125 hands
or so with a strategy card in front of me, which was a big improvement
over my previous sessions. I'm still trying to get used to looking for
inside straights and 3 to a flush.

The answer, at least based on last nights session, would be no. I
played all 9 machines after 11PM. I did have to call a porter to wipe
off three of the machines that some of the guests of the hotel had
left their messes on. You know the type; men wearing sports jackets or
women dressed up.

As far as DB goes, its my preferred game. I usually play DB and DDB on
each machine. I you plan on playing thousands of hands, then it is
worth the effort to be as proficient as possible.

Following up on this post, the 5 machines near the craps tables were
MIA as of 11PM Friday evening (machine house numbers 301014 through
301018); and had been replaced with other Multi-Poker machines with
the payatables found in the rest of the casino. A reasonably thorough
search of the casino did not locate them; according to a slot
floorperson, only the 4 machines between Red 8 and Lure remain (house
machine numbers 301010 through 301013); as well as the lone machine
with 10/6 DDB (300570).

Did you ck those 4 by Lure yourself? Looked like the same junk as the
other replacements this morn but forgot to note machine #s.

That particular night, the 4 machines by Lure were still full-pay.
Last night (Tuesday), I went over to that area after playing poker,
but all 4 machines were in use around 11:30PM, so hopefully, they are
still full pay.

Let me take this opportunity to go off-topic and say that some of the
Wynn floor-people are absolutely idiots when it comes to customer
service. Last night, I was playing the lone machine with 10/6 DDB and
the sound was weak; I could barely hear it. So I turn on the Service
light and "Bryon" shows up. I explain the problem and ask him to
insert his key and slide the volume bar up a little. His response? "We
aren't allowed to do that". Figuring he was a jerk, I didn't bother to
argue with him that other floor-people had helped on the 5 machines
that had now been removed. Of course, he didn't offer to summon a real
slot supervisor who could have fixed the problem in under a minute.

Another observation. There seems to be a lot of staff walking the
casino floor at Wynn that basically don't do anything.

I was at Wynn yesterday evening...the 4 machines by Lure are still full
pay. Mrs. Don the Dentist and I were able to get on the machines around
5:30pm...but I am concerned about their availability on a routine
basis.

The 5 machines by the craps tables were shorted, at least for the DB. I
didn't look at the other games.

We ate at their buffet...absolutely spectacular!...a wide variety of
unique and unusual offerings.

At least there is some good news today. After playing poker, I just
cross my fingers and hope one machine is open. If it is, I can sit
and play all 5 games on the machine while enjoying a cocktail. And
hopefully one of these days, I will hit a Royal at Wynn.

I checked the five machines by the craps tables on Friday morning they were all short pay.
If they were going to remove machines why would they keep the 4
machines by Lure? They are all full pay.
