All the $2 8/5 BP has been downgraded to 7/5 at both Wynn and Encore. I didn't check every bank but I checked enough single-line and multi-line machines including Spinpoker to say they are probably all gone. There were plenty of $2 8/5 BP two weeks ago.
The high limit room at Encore is closed due to construction of a new nightclub. A few high limit machines are on the floor and a new high limit room will probably reappear somewhere at Encore.
There are new rules for locals getting comps from the Wynn/Encore Red Card desk. They now only look at your recent play and you must have earned at least 750 points for each buffet. One attendant told me they look at the last 30 days. Another said the current calendar month only.
A host or Red Card desk manager can override this if you've been good enough.
Many of us locals will lose comps because of this new rule. Previously you could bank all comps earned if you played every month.
I don't know what the rules are for new sign-ups of out-of-towners.
