Wynn Buffet offer

I'm curious as to how this works. Once 750 points
are attained, does
it get posted to your comp account as a dollar
amount? Or is there a
separate "buffet comp" account that gets

incremented?

I don't know exactly how this buffet comp is displayed
to the Red Card desk people. You will get the buffet
comp put on your card there. It is good for breakfast,
lunch or dinner, regardless of dollar amount.

You cannot see your earned comp account on the card
readers but you can keep a side record of points
earned and have an idea of how many buffets you have
available.

BTW the players' club can also issue you a comp to the
Terrace Pointe Cafe instead of the buffet. I believe
the guideline is 850 points instead of 750. The comp
is limited to $25 per person but you can probably get
that increased if you have played enough.

In January, on the only day that I've played at WYNN (during the
period immediately prior to the deep-sixing of the Optimum pay
tables) we earned four free buffets. We played less than two hours.
and alternated between 50c 10/6DDB and $1.00 9/6JOB.

We used two of the buffet comps for lunch that day, enjoying the
very best buffet food that it's ever been my pleasure to consume.

Since we are not local, and were returning home the next day, I
asked a boothling about the status of the remaining two buffets.

I was told that they are not shown as "points" or comps when the
card balance is reviewed. They are documented in the player's Red
Card account for a 6 month period. After that, they vanish.

I was advised that they can be used for breakfast, lunch or dinner,
as ms. vpFae also verified. The boothling kindly suggested that the
very best value was to be had in the dinner buffet. We will try
that one next time.

When we next visit WYNN, I was instructed to give our card to the
hostess upon entering the buffet, whereupon the free buffets would
be verified, and a comp slip would be issued.

Though I hesitate to vouch for the statements of boothlings, having
been burned once or twice, this sounded logical to me.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm a local who has put in significant play
at Wynn since the middle of last year and haven't asked for much at
all as far as comps go. I've eaten at the buffet a couple times. On
one occasion was able to get a comped meal for 2 at Okada. And was
even asked if I wanted to watch a comped Le Reve show, which I declined.

That being the case, It would be interesting to find out if I can
still get all the buffets I've "earned" (at 750 pts earned per buffet)
or if the comped Okada meal somehow reduced that. Based on the info
above, my suspicion is that all comps (buffet/shows/other) may be
lumped into a single sum.

Indeed, it is exceptional. I'm not much of a crab eater since cracking
crab legs isn't worth the miniscule amount of meat hidden inside. But
with the pre-cut crab legs, I no longer have an excuse. The curry
chicken (when they have it) is the best I've tasted.

You may need to go to the Red Card booth first. I've always done this
but admit that I haven't tried going directly to the buffet.

You should know by now that logic isn't the driving force behind how
casinos and slot clubs generally work. <grin>
