Wynn Bounce Back

We continue for the third month in having weekly BB Free Play loaded on our
account at Wynn although we only got mailed notification by letter the first
month - June. So if you got it in June and played according to that schedule, you might want to go and check your account even if you didn't get mail notification. Doing that put $8,000 in our pocket ($1000 a week) for July and August because we have put on 30,000 points a month since June.

Don't be too envious of this amount - you need a huge bankroll to survive putting through $270,000 coin-in every month!!! Although this is a good EV play for JoB players at the higher levels, the EV at the lower levels is even better and extremely more so if you are playing the few 100% machines. The problem there is that you can't always get on the machines since there are only 5 and $1 is the biggest denomination so you would be limited in how much coin-in you could produce per hour.

Another caveat: We don't know how long this local BB program will last. I am assuming the generous amounts was to drive play during the summer months when tourist traffic is down. We got good BB during the holiday months at the end of 2005 and on into 2006 for a couple of months and then it stopped.

Why would Wynn do this without notifying players? We significantly
curtailed our play in July there due to the lack of a mailer. Now I'm
feeling silly! But you can bet I'll be re-upping my play there, just
in case...!

I don't know if this was a mail slip-up just for us. Did anyone else have BB but didn't get mail notification?

I redeemed my freeplay on Monday and as of that time had not received a confirmation letter like I got last month.

Wynn certainly could pull the plug on this at any time - they did it before, and it's in the small print in the original mailer from a couple months ago. Not good PR, but we have been warned. I'd rather it continued indefinitely, but as long as it resumes at a later date, I guess I'm ok with it halting without any additional notice.

Hi Jean

I wonder how the room and food comps are for the out of towners?

We also got the free play for August, but like someone else mentioned I
thought it would end in July so didn't play much during that time.
Hopefully they continue next month!

I asked at the Red Card booth today if the promotion was continuing
throughout this month, and all the woman could tell me was that I'd be
getting free play through August 31. I explained to her, I know I get free
play every week this month. I want to know if I'll get it next month based
on this month's play. She repeated her previous statement.

Thanks for nothing.

They use a very high rack rate to charge your comp bank, I know that. So you would have to be very much a high-roller to earn enough regular comps to cover RFB. I don't know about discretionary comps. Some lower-level players have gotten generous mail offers for free rooms during slow periods.

All comps expire at the end of your trip for out-of-towners. They had mis-classified me as an out-of-towner even though I have a local address. When a club booth employee discovered that, he was able to restore all my comps - so they must not go away completely - maybe just hide in a deeper part of the computer???
