Wynn and Where

The recent reaction to my question about offers AFTER the free buffet
has indicated room-only comps, many times on restricted dates.

My concern with the Wynn is not what they will offer me - I can always
choose to go elsewhere.

Instead, I fear their limited number of "desirable" machines will be
taken once I'm there, and I will be forced to play lower payback
machines (which I will not do) or wander off. There are no "sister"
properties, a disadvantage (i.e. on an MGM trip with poor inventory I
wandered over to the 1-100 coin 9/6 JOB at NYNY and all that play
counted for the trip).

All the more reason to lament the Harrahs takeover of my beloved
Caesars, which to this point had numerous opportunities of NSUD or JoB
available on every trip. After the takeover, I don't expect it to last.

When those 'desirable' machines go away Wynn will still have a
sizeable inventory of 9/6 Jacks and other 99%+ games. I'm guessing
those won't disappear anytime soon. That's about the same selection as
Bellagio offers. The only high end strip property with a greater
variety of playable games right now is Caesar's, and who knows how
much longer that will last.

Wynn gets a huge percentage (65% last quarter) of its casino revenue
from table games. I read somewhere that they have something like 40%
of the *total* strip Baccarat revenue. With people handing them
buckets of money at the tables I'm surprised they bother throwing an
occasional bone to VP players.
