Wynn 2x points

Received the following e-mail from Wynn:

Dear Donald,

When I talk to many of our players, they often tell me that play
here is absolutely perfect. So what if I could tell you that I'm
about to make it two times as perfect? It's easy – with two times
the points on all of our machines, exclusively for select red card
members this Tuesday, February 13 through Thursday, February 15,
2007 at Wynn Las Vegas.

The best part? You double your FREECREDIT points automatically. Just
come in any time beginning 6PM Tuesday, February 13, choose your
favorite machine, insert your red card and play just as you usually
would. It's truly the easiest way to earn more points – and as a
result, twice the FREECREDIT for your points.

Please call the red card desk at (702) 770-3000 if you have any
questions. Otherwise, simply join us from 6PM Tuesday, February 13
through Thursday, February 15 and enjoy your
exclusive point bonus with our compliments.

I look forward to seeing you.

I won't be using the offer...

-Last minute notification
-One of the days is Valentine's Day, need to take wife out to dinner.
-No more positive machines
-Better plays available elsewhere

At least you got an offer. But I agree with why you are declining
it. Since I didn't even get the offer, I guess I don't meet the
requirements of being a "select red card member".

<<At least you got an offer. But I agree with why you are declining

I think these might have been chosen randomly because not all "big" players got them. Perhaps others will be chosen at other times.

In any case, it is good to give Wynn your e-mail address. You never know when an offer will be good.

The Palms also uses e-mail to send offers - sometimes very juicy ones. They sometimes also make the mistake of sending them out with no lead time.

Does anyone know of other casinos that send out e-mail offers? Terribles does, but they are usually for meal or room specials.

This is the fine print on this e-mail offer:

<<When playing with two or more cards inserted simultaneously, point multiplier will only be applied to the first card inserted. This offer is only available on dates listed above, is non-transferable, may not be combined with any other offer and has no cash value. Total bonus points awarded to a single red card member associated with this promotion, not to exceed three times the amount that is earned. Red card points expire 12 months from date that they are earned. Red card points may only be converted for FREECREDIT.>>

Hummmm - that restriction in the first sentence is the first time I have even come across this. Anyone seen this restriction before anywhere??

And this one: <<Total bonus points awarded to a single red card member associated with this promotion, not to exceed three times the amount that is earned.>>

My head is thick this morning - but how could that happen if you are only getting 2x points???

I may retire yet. I'm really getting weary of figuring out casino promotions!!!! Sometimes I envy people who merrily play "Texas Tea" - without a slot card inserted - and giggle and drink and smoke and flirt with the cocktail waitress and expect nothing but a good time!!!!!

I didn't get the offer, and I thank Peter Landi for saving the bandwidth.

I'm really surprised Miss Craps, who plays a lot of reels there,
didn't get an offer. I'd think they'd want her to have an incentive to
come in and play.
