writing letters/complaining

Be aware that complaining can cause a casino to start treating you badly -
even if your complaints are justified. One casino no longer likes me, despite
heavy play and losses (on $5 reels mind you), because I complained about a
couple of promotions in public and then wrote letters. I didn't yell, curse,
or cause a ruckus - just said aloud to slot host, personnel, and a few
guests, something on the order of "this promotion is stupid" and why. I've been
told not to complain publicly again, or I won't be invited to any promotions
(now you know why the casino is nameless).

I still think that people need to complain if promotions change,
promotions are stupid (and time-wasters), lines are way too long, promotions are
misleading, and so on. But my suggestion from my own experience is to write
extremely polite letters -- praise the casino several times, and insert your
particular complaint. Be as specific as possible about the problem, naming
names. But also include praise of any hosts or personnel who are great - again
naming names. Tell the casino how much you love them, and how much you play
there, and that you hope that they can prevent similar problems in future.

Apparently casinos are so busy nowadays that they not only want to turn a
deaf ear to complaints, they may even be willing to toss away the business of
good players who complain, even if the complaints are valid.

So if you are about to complain or write letters, try to be as nice as
possible, when you do.

Fortunately there are a lot of casinos out there, so if a casino doesn't
want your business because you complained, someone else will.

I had a casino host tell me there are lots of casino's on the strip who want your business so they will do a lot to make sure I stay.
I am not a a mega spender or "whale".
It is time we as a group stand together or get off our soap box and sit back and listen to others who complain.
No one or no company likes to hear or read about a customer who is not satisfied or happy.
We all know the story about a happy customer tells 100 people and a un- happy customer tell a 1000+
So if we are not willing to name names don't complain.

There may be a lot of casinos out there, but most seem to be owned and
operated by just a few corporations.
