This is a highly enjoyable show, suitable for kids of all ages too (No doubt the best show in town to bring children too actually). It uses the theme of water to combine acts such as dancers, jugglers, acrobatics, even a archer (crossbow expert), and more, into an interesting show. Extremely lovely vistas are projected on the walls of this newly redesigned theater at the Rio (you might remember it from the ill-fated Duck Dynasty musical and as the Scintas theater before that, as well as home for other shows). The visuals and music (though canned) greatly enhanced the show.
It is hard to describe the whole thing, but it was very enjoyable even to my Vegas-jaded psyche. While not as spectacular as Cirque shows or Le Reve, Wow has its moments, and definitely is worth seeing.
While it is currently on the Diamond/7 Star freebie list, you may well have trouble getting tickets using the vouchers, because they allocate only a very limited number of freebie tickets, and the vouchers have to be used within 3 days of getting them now. You can pick up vouchers at any Total Rewards and take them to the box office of the property you are in (you no longer need to go to the property where the show is to get tickets). I tried 3 times before I could get tickets through total rewards.
If worst comes to worst you’ll have to pay for tickets, and they are worth it. Children will really like the colorful costumes, beautiful scenery, funny comedians, Pirates and Mermaids, jugglers, and death-defying acts. For that matter, so will adults.
