Marsha, first of all, mazeltov!
Got paid in time for the bus, but no checks. They have a
$5000 min, so I was now trying to hold my wallet together with a
rubber band. What a problem to have!
Secondly, even with a money belt, I recommend that not all of your eggs
should be in the same basket! If you don't have a spouse to carry some, you can
even split it up in your purse. I wouldn't keep more than 1,000 in the wallet -
why not a thousand or two in the zipper compartment most purses have? Also,
those stationary envelopes found in the desk drawer of most hotel rooms will
hold $1,000 all sealed up and will settle nicely in the bottom of your purse.
Spreading the risk around will mean that even if you get pickpocketed they
won't get it all.

I have never posted a trip report here but I
thought I would share this with you. I am primarily a
blackjack player but I have been trying to learn how
to be an advantage video poker player also the last 18
months and this group is one of my resources. My wife
does not like LAS much and only accompanies me every
four or five trips. I prefer that she does accompany
me since I don't like eating alone for one thing and I
end up playing BJ and video poker some 15 hours a day
when I go by myself which is like a bad business trip
sometimes. My base is Casino Royale, I like the fact
that it is close to some of the big places, the
parking lot is convenient etc. Someone there told me
that my wife needed 500 points to get the monthly
coupons for free rooms etc. so I used her card to put
1000 points on her account two trips ago. Still no
coupons, so when I inquired last trip (two weeks ago)
why not I was told I was misinformed and that she
needed a 500 point trip average to get the coupons. So
the Monday of our trip I played Wheel of Fortune until
I cashed a bonus coupon of my home about ten minutes
until 7:00 when their triple points daily promotion
ends. I then decided to see how many points I could
put on her card in ten minutes by playing $5 8/5 Bonus
which is the best game I have been able to find there.
Normally, I am a $1 player. I call that game the
"Benjamin Eater" I have spent perhaps 30 minutes total
playing $5 vido poker in my life'' Five minutes to
7:00 I was on my third Benjamin when the AKJT of
hearts popped up. I drew one card and up popped the
heart Queen'' $20,000'' They took my picture, made me
sign publicity releases, ad nauseum. Offered me cash
that night which I refused, ended up with a check for
$8000 ( which I guess the IRS is going to get and $10K
of front money at the cage.I told them I hope it takes
them some time to get most of their money back:-)
Btw, their cash back is on a coin out basis and my
wife collected &152, $150 from that one jackpot when
we left'
