Foxwoods is back to normal and since it is double points month, I
will be playing there. If you haven't been there all the best
machines are stand-up Sigmas where most machines in both casinos are
IGT or Bally. The good quarter machines are two aisles down from
where they were next to the Subway stand (closer to Bingo). If there
is one bit of good news, that 5th Double Joker machine that had the
bad pay schedule has now been brought up to 99.96% like the other
four in the aisle. [Hey that's a 25% increase.] They also still
have the 5 Double Jackpots 99.63% (one is out of order); they
say "Double Jackpot Bonus" on the front, not the ones that
say "Double Jackpot Double". They come around with drinks at least 3
times more often; I don't mind playing while drinking because I'm
careful and don't play like a spastic monkey. At $3000 of play for a
lounge, you would need to earn >$42 on the meter. If playing at
night (Sun-Thu), the best way to do this would be 6p-8p, 10p-12a, 2a-
4a. They also have double points 8a-11a on Sa/Su. The JWD do play
slow but the game is subjectively a lot more fun. If you need to
play $, then they still have the five 99.26% 10/7/4 DB with 900 for
quad aces {The quarter DB no longer have this.} The 99.33% 10/6/5 DB
are there for .50 denom. but the normal wampum comp rate is 1/90 for
$1 and 1/140 for lower except when double points.
At Mohegan Sun, its a penny slot player's paradise as they have
several hundred of these converted to accept them. Many VP is down
for conversion. All the bartops up have the only full-pay dollar JoB
which is actually still a high number. Only the Wolf Den bar fills
up when a show is going on. All the $5, $25, and $100 JoB have been
downgraded to 5/8 except for a few multiplay. As for PE, the
quarters that were full-pay still are. No $ full-pay anywhere. They
even converted the $25 ones in both casinos, and the $10 one in the
Earth casino but the two $10 in the Sky are still full for now.
