I believe that VP is big in eastern Canada but on the west coast is
isn't very popular at all. I don't want to sound like a racist but from
my observations approximately 70%-80% of the patrons at the casinos in
the Vancouver area are Asian and the casino's adjust the games they make
available accordingly. There are probably 2 Pai Gow poker tables for
every blackjack table and many other table games I have never even
played before. (Towers of Hanoi anyone?)
There are many, many slots to accommodate the older crowd who seem drawn
to the flashing lights regardless of the ~70% pay tables on them but
only a handful of VP games (all of them gamekings) available to play and
because there is not much demand for VP games and thus no competition
between the casino's based upon the pay tables of their VP games they do
not have any reason to offer good odds to the player and they treat them
like any other slot machine.
So much for my retirement plan
Brandon

How about Alberta? I hear they have some fairly decent casinos but I
have no idea how good any of their VP is.
What is everyone playing then if the VP is dreadful in Canada? Do the
slots
seem to be fair? Do they have old favorites like Blazing 7's or is
everything
pretty much the new multi-line video slots with bonus rounds? Does
blackjack
pay 3:2 or 6:5?
