How much you put in shouldn't matter. It's still a positive play (assuming it
was when you started playing), even more so after you've advanced/increased
the bonus an additional amount with your play.
Even with low volatility/high EV plays it is possible to lose. Happens much
less often on these type of slots (always assuming you play when the bonus is
sufficiently advanced) than playing VP!
My biggest single loss ever on a Wongable slot was just over $300 trying to
get the last couple of cherries on a dollar Wild Cherry Pie machine. Not a
really large "biggest loss" on a dollar slot!
Knowledgeable players who play lots of video poker progressives don't quit
just because the amount they've put into the machine reaches the amount of the
jackpot. Just because you are probably going to be a net loser for the play is
not a good reason to quit playing on a sufficiently positive machine of any
type.
