Won 100 on daily swipe at the Sun; gas line horror at the 'Woods

I won 100 points on the daily swipe at MS, and found others who did
too. I even got an extra food voucher with my nice comp tickets to
the Sun game.

Not so lucky at Foxwoods. When I walked in at 10:15pm the line was
closed in front of the Wampum rewards store. They had another line
for gas cards that started by the Fox Theatre and ended by the food
court. I bypasseed and came back a minute before the midnight cut-
off hoping the wait would be less. Maybe I would get to stand next
to a few women in tight dresses and high heels. Instead, I stood in
line next to regular senior citizen $10 bingo players who accumulated
Wampum 10-15 points at a time through their "mystery envelopes". I
wanted to buy $400 in Citgo cards and $100 in Exxon/Mobil, since
Citgo is the cheapest both near my home and at Mohegan Sun. I was
really upset when 2.5 hours later, I arrived at the front of the line
and they had no more Citgo. The attendant said they should have some
tomorrow, but then his supervisor said "Don't tell him that since we
might not." I asked the guard commanding the red velvet rope behind
us if if was better during the day; he said the wait was an hour
longer.

In case some do not all ready know, the cheapest gas in the area
is .5 mile south of the employee entrance of MS on Rt 32 -- that's
one exit west (towards Hartford) of the main entrance , only a
stone's throw away from the end of the ramp. There's a Shell on one
side and 7-11/Citgo on the other.

I could not bear to wait 3 hours for gas cards. Simply unacceptable
treatment of their gambling patrons.
Why buy gasoline when you are so close to MS? What could be a better
use of your points than MS gasoline. Its like getting .75% cashback.

What else was I going to spend $580 Wampum on?

Sorry, I meant giving directions to the gas stations near MS

Stevie,

We had better luck at Foxwoods. My wife was ill Tues. night and they
let her in the rewards store with no wait. Wed. all the redemptions
were in the Grand Ballrooom, where they had plenty of terminals and
wait was only 15 min. Guess, to their credit, they realized that
players standing in line were not gambling. Only negative was that
confirmed non-smoking room at MS was not honored, and we were given
smoking room.

Friends heard gas card promo so successful at Woods that it will be
repeted at as yet undisclosed August date.

David

I did end up going again on Wednesday at 11pm, after I called them, to
get the Citgo cards and it was only a 5min wait; they did not have any
50's so I had to get the 100's. I wanted the $50 cards since it cost
$70 to fill my tank, and that way I could use them in full w/o having
to worry about or remember partial balances.
