My husband and I have had the reverse problem at Harrahs. I have the
Diamond card and he had a gold card -- mainly because he plays Texas
Holdem all the time which gets you absolutely nothing. It really
irritated him that I had to be with him to get into the Diamond
lounges, sign for restaurants, etc. I was so tired of hearing his
gripes that on our last visit to AC, I played JOB long enough on his
card to get him Diamond-in-a-day. He was tickled to be able to go to
the boothling and get his very own Diamond card. Oh, how silly we
can be about privileges or insults perceived, but Harrahs doesn't have
joint accounts.
Personally, I love the way Imperial Palace does it - Our cards say:
Bob and Carole B____. So it doesn't matter who makes the call or uses
the card. Too bad that will go away before long.
By the way, I am going to AC this weekend and wonder if it is
worthwhile to take my Diamond card to Borgata to get Black. How much
play does it require there to get rooms, food, etc?
