WinPoker vs. Frugal Video Poker re: Triple Bonus

I did the same thing and got the same return. This game is available for $1 on multi-denominational machines at Trump and a single quarter and dollar machine at Majestic Star. This is not in the database. Majestic Star also has 20-10-6-5 joker two pair for nickels (45 coin but full pay for 10), quarters and dollars. The variance is slightly different at 44.26923.

I just ran this paytable on Winpoker, and I get 99.8033%. Double check how
you defined hand type and boxes you cked for each quad.

Hi all,

I plugged in the following paytable for Triple Bonus VP in both
Winpoker (User Defined) and FVP:

RF 250 500 750 1000 4000
4 Aces 240 480 720 960 1200
4 2,3,4 120 240 360 480 600
SF 100 200 300 400 500
4 5-K 50 100 150 200 250
FH 9 18 27 36 45
FL 5 10 15 20 25
STR 4 8 12 16 20
3 of K 3 6 9 12 15
2 PR 1 2 3 4 5
JOB 1 2 3 4 5

WinPoker analysis - ER 111.7436%, Variance 160.63425
FVP analysis - ER 99.80, Variance per credit bet 44.35
(Obviously), the strategy varies greatly between the two
programs as well.

I would appreciate any help with determining what explains the
difference between the WinPoker and FVP analysis. Could the
problem lie with the "user defined" process in WinPoker
(perhaps I'm not using this function properly).

Thanks, in advance.

Good playing and good luck.

Thanks to Judy and Howard! Turns out that in WinPoker user defined games I
had the Royal Flush payout defined as a Straight Flush - no wonder the
numbers didn't match up!

Thanks, again.

By the way, this game ($1 Triple Bonus 9/5) can also be found at the
Mountain High Casino in Blackhawk, CO. With a normal same day cash back
rate of .5%, this is a positive ER game at 100.3 (.5% plus 99.80%).

Good playing and good luck.
