winpoker question

Hello, I am new and still reading books, learning, practicing with
winpoker.
Here is my question... does winpoker work like a vp machine would?
Does it use the same random method. If it does ,in theory then, if one
had mastered a game on winpoker, they could expect similiar results on a
real vp with the same pay ?

My best answers......

does winpoker work like a vp machine would?

For the purposes of practicing and learning how to play VP, the answer is yes. Since Winpoker is a standalone software program, and a real VP machine isn't
then the answer is no, but it really doesn't matter . It is like flying from point A to point B in an airplane, if it is a prop or a jet you still get to the same place, but
they are different.

Does it use the same random method.

Same answer as above. It does use a random or (pseudo random to be more precise) generator
but it will not be exactly the same as the one on a VP machine, for that matter a Bally machine and an IGT machine would also be different, but just as random, so it doesn't make a difference for the purposes of learning and practice.

in theory then, if one
had mastered a game on winpoker, they could expect similar results on a
real vp with the same pay ?

Yes , similar results, but on any given day the results can be all over the map.
Using the infinite amount of hands theory the results at the end would be extremely close .

A.P.
