winning and losing

I can only share what I do in these situations. It always seems to work. And
when I have been at my lowest low, I always seem to be lifted up. It has nothing
to do with awaiting the "expected" long-term result.

I simply move on and play elsewhere.

...

There are certain casinos with close to 100% games where I simply do not win. I
don't mean every single time. But I do suggest an overall long-term losing
record where I can't reasonably expect repeated "miracles" to ever help me catch
up.

So, instead of chasing my money I moved on. And it seems I recoup fairly
quickly. I haven't shown a net annual loss in years and enjoy all the "perks"
that you and many others enjoy along the way.

Again, as I have stated often in the past, I never get too "comfortable".
Venture elsewhere, and I suspect the outcome will be the positive one you
deserve.

I didn't know that we "deserved" a positive outcome -- we can play machines with a paytable and a skill level to have a positive EV, but we should never feel like we are the ones who will actually achieve the EV. Some will, some won't, both in the short run and the long run.

As for moving around, certainly if you always move on after a loss, you will never "recoup" at that particular casino. Leaving assures that will be the case. Staying gives you a chance (no guarantee, of course) of putting in a winning session there, leaving assures you won't have your winning session even if it occurs the next session, at the casino you lost at!

There's no good reason, for identical games at different casinos, to expect our wins or losses to come at any particular place the next time we play, one way or the other.

This is not to say there aren't good reasons to move -- but they have to do with things like getting frustrated or uncomfortable and having that affect you level of skill or frequency of errors -- or things like just having a good time or not.
