Tom, I'd take the cash. Since you , as an individual, own the car - its a
used car - and the value has gone down

Tom, the car is not considered used until you register it. When you sell it
unregistered it will still be a new car.

how long do you have to take possession?...could run an ad in the
lvrj before you actually get the car...they would get a new car for
say 1000 less than hassling with the dealer and you would come out
ahead of what the casino is offering...

Absolutely not. He cannot sell the car unless he is the owner. He
does not become the owner until he has a title. He cannot get a
title until he registers the car. He cannot sell the car on a
goldenrod unless he is a dealer.

The value of a car does not go down just because you register it.
That is a common misperception among consumers. The reason the car
value went down when you took it off the lot was because you just
paid dealer/manufacturer profit and taxes. The value is still
determined from supply and demand. How many "used" 2006 300s' are
there available with 7 miles on it? How many people would pay for
such a car? You'd have to beat the dealer's price to sell it,
because obviously the dealer has things you don't have: a) an auto
business reputation, b) financing/etc. So you're going to have to
win based on price.
