What is the best vp at the Casino Windsor? Looking for as close to
FPJOB OR FPDB as I can get in the .25 play. If anyone has been there
lately maybe they can also tell me locations of machines.
Also what what would be the best way of converting to Canadian
Currency without being taken?

Windsor Casino VP?
You would probably get the best exchange rate at a bank, on either side of the border, or by purchasing travellers checks at an AAA branch.

Full Pay Pick'em is as close to full pay as you'll find in Windsor.
They had them in all sorts of denominations. I read that the .25 had
been downgraded to short pay pick'em although they were there on my
last trip a few months ago. The more traditional games (Dueces Wild,
JorB, Bonus Poker) all have pretty bad pay schedules. The Casino is
quite attractive and since you are gambling in Candian money you lose
less.
I use an ATM as was mentioned before when I'm in Canada. My bank
charges no ATM fee for using a foreign ATM and the rate is better than
you will get elsewhere. Since I get to Canada alot, I just keep any
excess Canadian currency till the next trip. You can exchange at the
Casino or at the Duty Free Shop as well. If you are staying in
Canada, save your hotel receipts and stop at the Duty Free shop on the
way out to get your sales tax rebate. I'm not going to get into the
nuances of what is and isn't rebatable but be aware it's an option and
I ususally get enough back to buy a case of Molson or two.

As of last week, all $.25 and $.50 Pick-em had been downgraded to
short pay. $1 machines were still full-pay. This is the only VP
remotely close to full-pay (if these haven't been downgraded yet,
too). Keep in mind the Canadian $1 machines equate to about $.65
U.S. -- so not quite as drastic a step up from U.S. $.25 machines.
$1 Pick-em machines are located at all 3 bars (2 downstairs & 1
upstairs), plus in uprights on 1st floor in the first area to the
left after passing the high-roller slot area.
