win poker

I have an old win poker and tried to download into my new computer
which has vista and it wont work. Do I have to buy a new win poker or
is there a way to use my old one.

I had the same problem when I bought a new laptop with
vista. My problem was solved easily, quickly and w/o charge,
by Dean Zamzow, the author of WP. Log onto his website and
follow instructions for contacting his organization.

I have had the same problem with many programs. I solved it by creating a new folder on my c: drive, copying the entire contents of the program disk into the folder, and finally putting an icon on my desktop to run the programs executable. Seems to get around the problem most of the time.

Like others, I have not had any problem loading into Visata and
running. Wish I could help you, but there is hope.

Winpoker runs, but not smoothly, with Vista on my computer. The "Windows Help
and Support'' section does not run at all.

I have Windows Vista Home Premium.
When you say "The "Windows Help and Support'' section..."

I assume you mean the "Help" tab on WinPoker, and then clicking on
"WinPoker Help".

If this is what you are referring to - it didn't work when I first
tried it. However, I got a message explaining that Vista omits some
feature which allows the reading of that file. I accepted the download -
I'm pretty sure it was from MS' website - and now the "WinPoker Help"
works fine.

Thank you. I'll try it.
