win/loss statements

I put in $100, hit a $1,000 royal (hand pay) and was
credited with a promo of $250 in free play. (No W2G) I
played this, in $25 increments and finally cashed out
$220. Therefore I made $1120. ($1,000 + $220 - $100).
The win/loss statement for the casino doesn't seem to
reflect this properly. (maybe it's just sloppy record
keeping on my part.) What should my win/loss statement
for this one session be, if casinos did compute the results
for one session?

I would figure my win/loss exactly the way you did.

However some casinos include free play as coin-in. So that would be a net win of $870 ($1,000 + $220 - $100 - $250).

Just ran across the same thing. I keep a real close win/loss book. In fact it's right on. However 09 seemed off in one property. I had followed the play real close at this one property for some reason. I asked host to get me coin in and win/loss. I was off over $6000 for year causing a bigger number on loss side. I rechecked numbers; the casino was wrong or host gave me wrong numbers; I thought. More info revealed the $80 a week free play and the $200 once a month party $$ are included in handle. Therefore, the free play was included as my coin in. Never had this problem before when I actually cashed coupons and the $$ were in my hands. I tracked coupons cashed. Cash was coin in.

Just a little more info to chew on.

Cheers....Jeep
