Wierd Joker Poker

The following game is in the Casino du Montreal. There are about 20
of them for quarters. Neither Winpoker nor Strategy Master are able
to run the analysis. If someone has the tools I'd love to see the
numbers on this one. Interestingly, there is no payout for a Royal,
wild or natural. It pays the same as a regular STFL. But the STFL
does pay 500, and those come along often enough to make it(perhaps)
worthwhile. Here goes:

With 5 coins

2 PR 5
3K 10
ST 15
FL 25
FH 40
4K 80
STFL 500
5K 4000
5 8s 8000

Comments are welcomed. Remember, though, I didn't make the game, I
just found it in the casino. The varience is probably astronomical.

What you appear to be describing is an offshoot of what is generally
regarded as Full-Pay Joker's Wild found in Atlantic City (where JOker
Poker is seemingly more popular than any variety of the game).

In A.C. there is no special bonus for 5 8's and the Straights pay 4
intead of 3

The A.C. version pays 97.2%

A rough estimate, not including possible strategy changes due to
paytable changes, of the payback, I would say is about 95.5% . I'm
reducing about 2.5% for the straight reduction and adding about .8%
for the 5 8's bonus.

Just my best guess without running the numbers.

Using winpoker, setting 5K=(12*4000+8000)/13=4308, yields 95.23.
