I'm another nrwbie to this group, but a veteran of several other (different topic) groups. And I feel compelled to put my 2 cents in. First off, every group has a member or members who come across as abrasive and obnoxious. You just ignore them and procede with life. If you let the "mouths" run you off a list, they win, period. Second, I find it hard to believe that the moderator of the group in question allowed such a rude posting to even get on the message board. There is where your anger should be pointed. It is the moderator's job to MODERATE such postings to the body of subscribers. But remember that every body has an a&& hole, it just needs to be moderated and potty trained. Even though I don't know you, I still say; "Don't let the ants ruin the picnic". Regards Randy

Awhile back I added Rob Singer to my e-mail filter which automatically
deletes all messages coming from him; I did this not because I dislike
Rob, but because I was uninterested in most of what he writes. I must
confess that I have made a _few_ comments, from time to time, about his
flawed 'system', but I can't honestly remember saying anything bad about
him, as a person, except perhaps that he doesn't seem to understand or
believe mathematics -- something I find difficult to believe of someone
who is supposed to be an engineer (at least that's what I've heard).
Now I find this unwarranted, extremely distorted, and shamefully ugly
post about me on VP_Heaven, which I will now try to straighten out.
Then I am going to cancel my membership in that group so that I will
never need to read such drivel from him again, and I hope and implore
the moderators of my other favorite groups to PLEASE never let this guy
join our group.
Rob's post was prompted by this innocent comment I had put on VP_Heaven,
which made absolutely no reference whatsoever to Rob Singer or his 'system':

Actually, I usually play one _quarter_ at a time because the odds are
better than the nickel machines; however, I'm not too proud to admit
that I have _often_ played nickels, and if I could find JOB 9/6 on a
nickel machine, especially at a bar, then I'd play it rather than
quarters -- and yes, I'd probably play one nickel at a time. It's my
money, my time, and my own business. If I have fun doing that, why

I won't deny that I like to drink, but I never said that I sit there and
get loaded. And I never said that I _ever_ drive after I've been
drinking; the fact is that I get a pretty good buzz, but my wife does

beverages all day long. But just like Rob always grossly exaggerates
just about every thing that comes out of his mouth, so he's done it now
with this defamatory statement about me.

like Rob to have a good time. I guess I'm just a cheapskate; is that a

I'm sure she doesn't like me eating as much as I do, since I'm
overweight. And she probably doesn't care that I drink as much as I do,
since she drinks hardly anything. So, ... is she supposed to divorce
me? ... or never come to the casinos with me? ... or nag me while I'm
gambling?

I'm surprised you bother trying to read them, Rob, if you find them so
foolish and incomprehensible. At least I was smart enough to start
filtering you when I felt that way about your posts; the only reason I
saw this was that someone else repeated it. And I can well understand
how my posts would be incomprehensible to you; maybe my posts are the
problem ... do you think? I'd be much more concerned if the many people
I respect and admire on these groups shared your sentiments, but somehow
I doubt that this is true -- judging from the numerous conversations
I've had with those folks.

Well, I'm not the brightest nor the most gifted, and I've made my share
of mistakes -- which I've openly admitted here from time to time. But
at least I'm trying to learn and understand, rather than close-mindedly
insisting that I'm right and the all the other professional gamblers and
mathematicians are wrong. And I try my best to share what I've learned
with newbies, rather than to mislead them; yes, Rob, if your system
'really' worked, you are nonetheless misleading newbies by not fully
explaining all of your secret 'special plays'.

Anyway, if anyone other than Rob has actually taken the time to read to
the end of this post, let me express my appreciation to all those of you
on VP_Heaven who have offered a warm welcome and useful advice. I hope
to continue exchanges with you fine folks on the various other groups
where I post, such as WinPoker, VP_Free, Frugal Video Poker, and Tunica
Travelers, but VP_Heaven has now lost all appeal to me; my final act
regarding VPHeaven will be to visit the Yahoogroups website and
terminate my membership.
