Why Harrahs keeps winning Casino Player's votes

Harrahs is the only company I have seen that has sent out Casino Player's
ballots! Obviously if they send these ballots out to their club members, most
of those ballots will end up with Harrah's winning votes. I don't think this
is a fair thing to do - obvious way to stuff the ballot box. Apparently
Casino Player doesn't care -- do they get paid something by Harrah's one
wonders? It definitely causes Casino Player to lose credibility in my eyes, and
obviously their poll is slanted.

This is not true....your HIGH ! ! ! I have never gotten a ballot from Harrahs to fill out. If that you are saying is TRUE then FOXWOODS 'MUST' be doing the same thing !!! RIGHT. NOT.

Casino Player doesn't care -- do they get paid something by

Harrah's one

wonders?

Count the number of pages that are plastered with Harrahs ads in the
next issue of CP.

Well if you notice Harrahs seems to be the big advertiser in both Casino Player and in Strickly Slots, which I believe are affiliated. I personally don't rely heavily on the "best of" from either one of those mags. As everyone knows it all comes down to the almight buck and apparently money is still talkin'..LOL

The claim is quite certainly accurate. I, too, have gotten such
ballots on more than one occasion. Simply because you haven't, you
ought not rush to the conclusion that your experience is the single
great truth.

BTW, I often complete the surveys in order to place Harrah'$ dead
last in every category. Tilting against windmills, I fear. In any
event, perhaps next year those of us who despise Harrah'$ in general
and who loathe their TR system can make a concerted effort to vote
them last in all categories. I'll try to remember to bring the
possibility up next year. (Admittedly, if I were a KC or Laughlin
regular, I'd likely reign in my contempt for all things Harrah'$ and
gleefully pound them for every nickel possible.)

The Peppermill in Reno also goes out of its way to provide CP ballots
to its customers. During the months before the voting deadline they
pass them out to all of their slot tournament participants and promise
a $50 prize in a drawing if you fill out the ballot. You may have
noticed that Peppermill wins the majority of the categories in the
survey and also buys full-page ads (sometimes double pages). Who
needs Casino Player when you can look at the vpFREE database??

Casino Player is good once in a while. Unfortunatly, they tend to be
too much of a "casino TRAVEL" magazine. Even though I consider myself
somewhat skilled, my favorite column is Henry Tamburin's "Casino 101".
