Why A Buffet No- No?

And here I thought he was making a joke!! (not Jigger, the OP).

Of course I was proud of my mother. Seven years of night college while she
worked full-time. Worked all her life and made a wonderful life for me. We
were dear friends as well as mom and daughter. Anyone would have been proud
to have her as a mother. She got through the depression having worked all
the time too. So she was always worried about money - anyone who came through
that hard time will understand it.

Well Jigger, you have to give the poster credit for at least being

I have yet to meet anyone having a continuing adult relationship with
a parent who wasn't embarrassed by their behavior on at least one
occasion. It's called "payback".

(For that matter, anyone who isn't deeply proud of a parent once all
things have played out is likely very dissatisfied in themselves.)

I'm not as bad as I used to be but my daughter, the Frugal Princess, still sighs a lot when she is with me.
