whopping Wynn/Encore Offer

Played at Wynn on last visit for a few hours mostly .25 VP with some WOF slot play for nickels thrown in. Otherwise it had been at least 2 years since I walked in the place.

Lo and Behold........in the mail last week I get an offer for 3 Free nights with upgrade to "Encore Resort Suite King if available" (which it was..) + $300 in Free Play.

I just booked it for hubby and myself in January and got all I requested and just have to go to players club upon arrival to get the FP.

This year for the first time I have received numerous offers from Bellagio for free rooms and $75-100 FP without noticeably increasing my play from prior trips. I would stay at a HET property but stroll over to Bellagio occasionally for live poker and while waiting hit the machines.

Things must have really loosened up? But I also admit that 2009 was first time I threw in some slot play with the VP, probably only 10% of total play. But 3 nights + $300 FP for a few hours on one visit to Wynn in 2009? Astounding to me.

Good for you! But it shouldn't be astounding. In fact, with the opening of Aria next week, your offers may get even better. More rooms are competing for good players in a bad (but hopefully improving) economy.

Even lowly Harrahs Entertainment had to dig deep into their nearly empty pockets to recently offer unprecedented shopping, cruise and slot credit offers.

I encourage every single one of you to play where you feel your action is respected. Enjoy your position "in the driver's seat", always with an eye on analyzing offers critically.

My last trip I played a little at M. I've since been receiving some minor offers. I just unsubscribed & was given the opportunity to explain why. I said that on my last trip I confirmed that their VP paytables had slipped to unacceptable & I wud likely not be back. If enuff of us followed suit, maybe they'de get the idea.
