I noticed Sam's Town has what they call Emerald Triple Deuces, available in 10-coin nickles or 5-coin quarters, with an EV of 99.92%. Although it has a high variance, I'm wondering if it is a better play since its EV is less than 1% below that of FPDW and it take $1 per point vs $2 per point for FPDW. Thanx for any info in this regard.
Which is the better play -- 99.92 Triple Deuces @ $1 = 1pt or FPDW @ $2 = 1pt?
Better is in the eyes of the evaluator.
In straight cash terms the FP deuces is a better play, easily.
If you add in comps and mailers it becomes closer. I don't know, but I can guess that if you only played FP deuces, you would not receive much if anything in the way of comps. If you play the sub %100 machines you will receive a nice level of comps etc. You must determine what these are worth to you.
For myself I like the level of comps that I get at Sams Town and find that what I give up in best play I make up for in comps.
