Where Would You Stay ?

Hi,
I'll be in Las Vegas right after New Years to celebrate my reaching
the big six-o( Jan.3). Back in July I booked a frequent flyer JetBlue
for a four night stay. Being from the east Coast my AC play is $ Jacks
or Bonus. I will only stay on the Strip because even after some 15
trips to LV I'm still the tourist. I am Harrahs 7 stars.
Originally planned to stay at CP but we all know what happened to
their VP last month...soo...

1. Decided against CP even though there are still eight $ Jacks
machines left. The thought of not finding one free when I would want
to play bothers me to no end.

2. As of now have booked Paris( have never stayed there). According
to VPFree inventory they have eight $ 8/5 BP and I figure there should
be no problem getting on to these machines. My stay is from Tues.-Sat.

3. From NYNY.. Received a three night comp stay including food( drink
at meals but not at bars is comped) at any restaurant on property plus
$250 Freeplay. This is based upon play that GF and I put on my card
when staying at an MGM property. However this trip will be a solo
affair. Like NYNY alot( they have lots of BP plus two FP Jacks)but I
need four nights not three.

3. From Bellagio.. Three nights room comp, $150 food and $200 FP.
Obviously the classiest of the places and one that I love.
But...least expensive worthwhile play is $2 BP...I need more than
three nights and more than $150 in food comp( they will be reluctant
to offer more comp)

  Which would you choose ?

Larry, Having just watched Oceans 11 on network Television, I have to tell you Bellagio. It brought back a lot of great memories regarding that place. Remember, You can easily split up your play 50/50 - half at Bellagio, half at nearby HET establishments. Use the HET points as the main feed for your belly, and If you give the Bellagio a meager 20K day, they certainly will throw in Buffets and coffee shops ( which are terrific ). Your NOT going to go hungry !
best wishes....tom

I stayed at the Paris recently and had a really hard time getting on
these machines. They are multi-denomination, multi-game machines.
Most of the time the machines are filled with people playing keno or
blackjack one quarter at a time. Good luck wherever you play!

Wow ! Thanks for the replies both on this board and privately. Now
you guys have me thinking. Were you there on a weekend? I just
didn't figure I'd have any problems considering its right after New
Years and its the middle of the week.

in Paris.

But, you should have no problem geting to play on them, with just a bit of patience.

That's probably the key...patience. One of the times when I went to
play one of these machines they were all full. However, there was a
lady at one machine (I'm guessing she was sitting watching her
husband beside her) and she had no credits. I asked if she was
playing the machine in front of her and she said "yes". I said "you
have no credits". She responded that she was playing the machine. I
walked by about fifteen minutes later. The machines were still full,
the lady still had no credits, she was not playing - just watching
the person beside her. I decided to go play NSUD at Barbary Coast
which is a much better play anyway.

I was at the Paris from Friday to Tuesday.

Once again thanks. As of now I'm still going to go with my gut feeling
that they will be "quiet" from Tues.-Sat. considering its right after
New Years.
BTW I'm also planning on giving Wynn some play so I can set myself up
for future offers. Does anyone know whether Wynn bases your play on
daily( I'll have to spend most of a day there), or trip average( I
can play a little over the course of a few days) ?

Hi,

I got a quarter royal on one of the Paris machines on Friday,
December 22, the day after my big 6-0. My husband and I found side
by side machines easily at around 2 pm that day. There was one more
free besides. A young couple came along after I had gotten the RF
and noticed that I had over $1,000 and figured out that I had hit.
The young man noticed that I was playing 8/5 BP and instructed the
young lady to play that game.

Once those machines are gone, we'll have no reason to play at any
Harrah's property since we play no higher than quarters. I'm just
hoping beyond hope that they leave the NSU at the BC alone because
that is our strip home.
