Where is good VP in MI, PA, ON, or WV

There have been many posts on this. The Class I, II, III designations
ONLY relate to Indian gaming. Class III is similar to Nevada and most
other commercial jurisdictions. Many other states have racinos run by
their state lotteries and the machines are referred to as VLT's. In
most cases (except for NY State racinos) the differences between
VLT's and other slot / video poker machines is irrelevant to the consumer.

There is no way to know whether the VLT's or other machines are relevant or not to the consumer without readily available independently audited reports on revenues and payback percentages.

I'm sorry, you are confused. Except in NY racinos (and Washington State Indian casinos) VLT's displaying VP select cards with an equal probability exactly the same as Nevada machines. The primary difference is in how the terminal connects to the accounting software.

This is why it is absolutely irrelevant to the customer whether it is a VLT. You can determine with certainty the theoretical return of a vp machine by reading the pay table.

Just curious.

REPLY/QUESTION: Yeah. What if?

I once played the machines on the Muckleshoot Reservation in the
State of Washington, and I know that the "Beat the Dealer" function
protects the deliberatively self-destructive to some extent. But I
can't remember how that would work if you're dealt and held RAZGU.

My best guess is that if you're dealt RAZGU, then that's what you
were destined to finish with, so if you hold RAZGU, it doesn't cost
you anything. [And, conversely, if you're dealt a Heart Royal and
redraw all five, you'll redraw a Royal in a different suit.]

But I'm not sure of either scenario, and I haven't seen a posted
answer to Scot's question.

In Niagara Falls, Windsor and Rama Ontario the machines are the same
as vegas and atlantic city just with varying paytables. But you can
find 9/6 double bonus..Some of the bonus poker and 6/5 and people are
playing. In niagara falls the good thing is that you get cash back
points on your play plus they send cash back cheques in the mail.
There isn't any free alcohol but you can walk up to any bar and order
a juice, pop, coffee, milk, hot chocolate etc. without playing and be
served. Also if you make their platinum level there is a lounge that
has better hours than any harrahs diamond room and the food is great.
Regular players are treated to many comped rooms, shows and food.

I'll add my own take here:

Bill C has asserted that the machine "Class" designations have no
meaning outside of the Indian tribal casinos. He's likely correct -

-

these terms are identified by the National Indian Gaming Commission,
with strict applicability to the tribal casinos. They aren't

intended

to define machines in any other venue.

Class II are machines that operate under a Bingo-engine device -- a
bingo game is played in the background between selected players in

the

casino; a win yields a winning outcome on the player's machine.

Any other machine that operates in any other manner whatsoever is a
Class III machine. These include lottery VLT (pull-tab equivalent)
machines as well as LV-complaint machines. Class II machines can be
operated by a tribal casino strictly under the auspices of the

NIGC.

Class III machines can only be operated by tribes that have entered
into compacts with the state in which they're located that permit

the

equipment.

It can be said that if a machine found in LV were placed in a tribal
casino, it would be deemed a Class III machine. So would the non
LV-compliant VLT machines found in NY racinos.

As has been discussed, what typically distinguishes a non LV-

compliant

machine from one that is compliant is that the non-compliant

machines

typically add some artificial mechanism to force a predetermined

play

win (genie, match card, etc.)

If you don't mind playing for dollars (or higher), Rama has a
reasonable selection of 9/7 double bonus. They also have 9/6 JOB in
3/5/10 play for 25c,50c, or $1, as well as single line at $2 and higher.

Seneca Niagara has $1 full pay pick'em, 8/5 bonus poker in single line
for 50c or $1, and 3/5 play for 50c. They also have some higher
denomination multi-line 9/6 JOB and 8/5 bonus poker.

Did you try vpfree2 ? It has VERY powerful search capabilities, especailly when you are
logged in as a (free) user.

If you are logged in, you can do an ADVANCED CASINO search...
1. log in
2. go to the 'casinos' tab, and find the small select drop down list under the red 'casinos',
changing "by region" to "advanced"

(or log in and just go to this link: http://www.vpfree2.com/casinos/advanced/index.html )

3. enter "MI|PA|ON|WV" in the state field (don't enter the quotes)
These advanced fields use powerful "regular expressions". Those vertical bars or "pipes"
mean "or" as in "MI or PA or ON or WV". Read about how search works here:
http://www.vpfree2.com/vpcasinos/help

You can also use regular expresions in the games / machines search...

1. log in, and click on games / machines, then change the small select drop down lists as
needed, or (log in and) go to http://www.vpfree2.com/machines/advanced/index.html

2. You can enter the same "MI|PA|ON|WV" for the state field for casinos (advanced).
I'd suggest you also change other options, like setting denom to any $, etc.

Good luck.
