Where can I get a $3000 a room night?????

Not really $3000, but $3000 coin-in. I had heard that the Hilton might be
coming into this range, but I emailed two hosts there, one told me 300 points
($5400) and the other told me 250 points ($4500).

I know this amount will not get me anything on the strip, which is fine. I
prefer downtown anyway.

I should also state that I prefer cashback to comps.

$5K is generally reported as the requirement for a comp. However, if
you're interested in playing/staying there you might want to consider
a discounted rate or casino rate. If a midweek stay is an option, a
$50 or less rate per night should be obtainable for some nights.

Understand, I can appreciate where this may not be desirable. However
I wanted to at least surface it as an option.

There are two ways to go about this. The first is to email the host
who seemed most receptive to your query, tell them that based upon
your other casino play that you fully expect to offer $3000 coin-in
per night and ask if they could extend some type of casino rate. My
guess is that this request would receive favorable handling. (Be sure
to report back your experience, good or bad, for the benefit of others.)

The other option is that as dates draw near and some are lightly
reserved, the hotel opens up rooms at a considerable discount. Go to
http://tinyurl.com/jmht
-- the "Hot Dates" calendar for LVH. You'll see a number of midweek
dates for which rooms are available as low as $39.

However, definitely pursue the first option of booking at a casino
rate through a host (even if SLIGHTLY higher than the available "Hot
Date" rate). This puts you on their calendar. Plus, when you are
ready to check out it's always worth checking to see if they might be
able to go ahead and comp your room -- even if you don't have that $5K
in. Hit them up at a favorable moment and you never know what you
might manage. The point is that a room booked through them rather
than the hotel is an easier comp for them to arrange.
