When Do You Say "Enough"?

My poor friend Robert recently came home from a gambling trip

And after an incredible early lucky streak where he was ahead
thousands he gave it all back. Plus the money he brought.
"I didn't know when to stop" he muttered.

All of us have been through this scenario. The trick is to catch
yourself during the freefall and not hit bottom.

So, I'm interested in the limit you set on declines after you are
ahead.

I'm personally willing to give up all of a jackpot on a trip, and have
done so. But, more often than not, I'll find that I'll quit earlier
than anticipated even though I'm still in the black. I simply quit
anytime the play ceases to be enjoyable -- if I've moved onto a losing
streak that bad, the play generally becomes "un-fun".

Generally speaking, any time someone chases after losses, hoping for a
turn around win, they've played too long.
