How about showing us some of that documented evidence? With the exception of the United Coin Scandal where the machines were rigged not to pay royals (not affecting casinos as these were in bars, etc) the Nevada Gaming Commission has done a good ,job in keeping the machines honest. Documented evidence needs to be documented. It would be appreciated if the author of the statement would give us some evidence. Thanks

I said "documented", not "accessible to the public". I have written
and asked for contents of files on various casinos; I have asked for
info on ongoing cases. In every case I have been told that the files
are "not public information". All I can find out is that a given
investigation is "in progress", has been "terminated", or has
been "suspended".

Nonetheless, the files exist, and contain evidence that sufficient
cause was found to warrant an investigation of casino cheating. Just
TRY and find out more for yourself, if you want to. You'll feel like
a rat in a maze. BTW, I also had to provide personal info just to
get the few crumbs of information that I did get. When I asked about
the Freedom of Information Act, I was told that I was free to file a
petition to examine any files the GTB had on ME. Otherwise--no soap.

Those who haven't lived in Nevada for as long a time as I have, have
trouble believing what a company town/police state this place really
is.

Many people are forced to file freedom of information requests
irrespective of what government organization they deal with. Happens
all the time to historians who have to actually litigate the claims,
sometimes for years. The gaming control board is no different.
Certainly there will be interests that desire to have the information
protected. This is also commonplace and hardly surprising as we
would all work to protect our best interests. However, someone's
inability to get evidence does not mean that the evidence exists.
