Wheel Poker with Quick Quads

What's the proper strategy for Wheel Poker with Quick Quads? Has anyone done an analysis of the game? I checked the WizardofOdds site and he hasnt' written up the game yet. I'm asking because I saw the game at SouthPoint and know that it may be one of the best games there. Thanx for any help!

Well certainly no one can give you a max EV strategy without you first giving them a paytable, but I would guess that if it is one of the highest returning games there, anyone capable of generating the strategy probably doesn't want it leaking out just to create more competition for the machines on multiplier days when all the pros that haven't had their cards revoked are swarming the place.

But all that being said, if you know how to generate your own quick quad strategies, I will give you one piece of useful information. As of when they first came out (and I don't think it has been changed since then, but I haven't kept on top of the info), the average value of a wheel spin is 157.461 credits. Add that to the (7-coin) payout of all the quads, and you have your adjusted paytable to use in generating your strategy.

yes. i don't know of any analysis that's been made public, though.

also one of the highest-variance games there. over 50% of ER is tied
up in quads, and VAR approaches 100. and at five-play quarters, with
delays for the wheel spins, it's not especially fast either.

basically, unless you're playing it for fun, you're probably better
off with NSUD or multiline SDB, which have only slightly lower EV.

good luck,

five

These are the paytables for the quarter WP with QQ games:

99.54% JoB 1-2-3-4-6-9-25-50-800
99.17% BP 1-2-3-4-5-08-25-40-80-50-800
99.11% DB 1-1-3-5-7-09-50.0-80-160-50.0-800
98.98% DDB 1-1-3-4-6-09-50.0-80-160-160-400-50.0-800

I know from the Wizardofodds that the DDB has the best QQ paytable followed by JoB which is slightly less. I have no idea what the extra coin for the Wheel adds or subtracts, and what the new order of best to worst for these 4 games might be. Thanks for letting me know how to go about figuring this out.
