. . . As for Bob Dancer's analysis: since Bob has, and is receiving
compensation from IGT, his postings are highly suspect.
I'm one of the bigger Dancer critics on the forum. But his postings on
this topic are not, IMHO, suspect at all. The fact that the 16-10
Deuces Wheel program is a loser was a complete surprise to me, since
it was the only 16-10 I've ever seen (Stations is offering it in 15-9
and worse paytables). In theory, if this is the case, then a FPDW
paytable is likely a loser as well (now, a savvy slot director should
be offering that game if they can, for obvious reasons)
Bob does seem conflicted at times, wanting to play both sides of the
street. But neither he nor IGT have any reason not to want to tell you
the truth about their products. Moreover, Strictly Slots used to
publish the program ERs whenever Dancer wrote an article about a new
product. This gave me a big edge in the marketplace, since I was about
the only one who knew exactly what a certain program's ER was (in any
business, you're a professional, you read the trades, that's part of
the craft). Moreover, I wasn't playing the obvious "best game" in that
casino, which took a lot of heat off of me.
