Is it so dead there that no one has any news? I'm coming down this
weekend with a bunch of friends and just want to know if anything
exciting is going on. Any information will truely be appreciated.
What's up in Reno??
The Truckee is running pretty high right now, so that can be exciting. Also, Safari Club International is holding their convention 1/18-21 and this is always an enormous convention. Lions and Tigers and Bears, OH MY!!!! (sorry, couldn't resist)
But excitement in Reno is something of an oxymoron, no? Keep an eye on the Gazette-Journal website and perhaps you'll find something. www.rgj.com
Let us know what you find.

I'll be in town this coming weekend for a Scrabble tournament at the Hilton.
Evening VP at the Peppermill. That's all the excitement I need.

My husband is in town for 2 weeks at the Peppermill. Since he in taking a class at UNV he probably is not adding to the party atmoshpere either. He will be found at the Peppermill in the early evenings at the 100 play machines. He did want me to pass on to the group his unpleasant experience at the front desk with Michelle on check in late Sat (really Sunday) who told him that since his reservations were usually messed up at check in, he must be the problem and walked away. It took a very nice lady named Ka the VIP room, the next morning to solve the problem and go beyond what he had requested. We will let you know the results of his play in a couple of weeks. Suprisingly we have not received a mail offer since our trip in November, maybe because we used up all of our comp balance. We played a lot though and were expecting some kind of offer. Oh well, next trip I can go on will be April and we will see what happens then. If he tells me of anything exciting I will let you know.

Hi Trish.
I certainly hope that your husband made a formal complaint regarding
the rudeness he encountered from the desk clerk at check-in.
I know that the PEPP prides itself on good customer service. Usually,
that is the case. In the very rare instance that I have encountered
a less than helful or unpleasant employee, the situation has always
been resolved to my satisfaction, after speaking with a supervisory
person.
The egregious disrespect shown to your husband, when he should have
received an apology, should not go unchallenged. Perhaps Michelle has
not found her proper job niche. Were she my employee, she would be
reading the classified job section in the newspaper.
Good luck to you and your husband in 2006. May the RF Goddess find a
perch on your machines.

In November 2005, We had received a notice for two nights compted at the Pepp and we asked at the desk if they had any rooms available that were set aside for comps. The girl at the desk replied without looking that she didn't have any rooms. We weren't shocked at her answer but her attitude was angry and condescending. We left and went to Atlantis where we have never been treated so rudely.

Yes, they are very rude at the front desk - expect that - it comes with the territory at the Pepp !

Thanks for the good wishes, he has mailed in the complaint form and followed up with his host.
On another note his coupons came the Monday after the Saturday he left so I called to tell him the coupons said he had $25 free plan and he said that he had checked at the booth and discovered he had $200 worth, I guess they have secret free play to encourage you just to drop by, which is a little hard to do from Houston.
Anyway I hope your Vegas trip is very successful. Many royals
