Whats there to do outside? (Borgata)
There is a nature walk along the marsh that will eventually lead to Harrahs. (Bugs can be irritating at certain times of the year.)
Otherwise I don't think there is much to do outside. The only negative I can think of when staying at the Borgata.
You can drive over to Brigantine and wander around.
