What triggers a "trip"

I went by Harrah's Rincon on Sat and picked up a $25 VISA card at the promotions desk. They did swipe my card in their computer. I did not play or swipe my card or do any other transaction anywhere else in the casino. I just left.

Any idea whether this will trigger a "trip" and give me a zero "trip" day ?

Or does doing a promotion only, not trigger a "trip" ?

Swiping in to the Diamond Lounge does not seem to trigger a "trip" , would this be the same ?

Thanks

Bill C.

Answering your question fully could honestly fill a book.
While Total Retards is certainly far from the best, it is undoubtedly one of the most complex.

Here's a quick primer:

1) There are different kinds of trips, depending on who views your account

2) The one that matters most is not really a "trip", but a play day. Currently, a play day is created when one or more Reward Credits is earned or deducted

3) The TR site can be used to check your account.
If your Last Activity Date was updated, congratulations -- you've been tripped.

Suffice it to say if you are trying to keep your averages up, you shouldn't be risking everything by redeeming piddly $25 perks.

Why is it called a hot water heater?
Hot water doesn't need heating
