What to learn next

The answer primarily depends upon which games are available at the casinos where you play the most. Learning a game that is not available where you want to play does not provide much of a benefit.

Otherwise, probably should consider learning Not So Ugly Deuces which is fun to play due to the mini-jackpot of four decues and the hands when you get two or three deuces dealt.

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I couldn't find a good search string to return less than a couple hundred posts. As a relatively new VP player I started out playing JoB due to the less complicated strategy and reasonably low volatility. At this point, I feel like I'm ready to start becoming proficient at other VP games, but I'm not sure where to start. I normally play FP JoB/ 3 play / $1. If I move to a game with a higher return and higher volatility I may need to move to either a single line or a lower denomination in order to bankroll the added volatility. Like everyone, I'd love to walk away from every session with more money than when I sat down, but my main goals are really to have fun, not lose my a$$, and play enough to have my stay comped, thus making it easier to budget for the next trip. So far, I've been able to meet all those goals while playing 4-6 extended weekend trips a year to Vegas and 2-3 weekend trips a year to Tahoe. So, based on that information, what game would the regulars and the pros recommend as a next step? Thanks for your feedback and all the great advice you post.Spyder[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

this is likely the most difficult problem there is in VP.

although it has been simplified somewhat by you knowing your goals.

if you know where you are likely to be playing . find a game that is
within the parameters of your comfort level. if you have beem
playing $1 3x play JOB you are likely willing to put up with some
variance around 22 or 23 you could likely go to 25 with out too much
problem.

NSUD is Ok for that. 10/7 DB is around 28 and JW variants run in the
mid to upper 30's . royal frequency may be an issue as well.
in vegas you might want to give the 99.99 $1 JOBs at the wynn shot
other wise the palms is your next likely spot where <=$2 10/7 DB can
be found.

the cross reference here will give you a pretty good idea of whats
up and where.

I suggest making a spread sheet with the variables including all of
the above and slot club incentives as well.

then give it a spin

timmer
