Well, this was certainly a conversation ender. I don't recall this
discussion on this board---am I missing something (again)?

Belle and EW still use the One Card until Dec 31, right?

Who knows what will happen now that it was announced MGM/MIrage is selling
out to Marnell the Third. He won't get the keys until next summer.

I can't imagine just trying to change on January 1st after a busy night. You
would think you would pick a slow weekday graveyard shift to start changing
out readers and firing up a new system...not when your casino is packed.

CB on the website has triple points listed for the first week in January as a
promo. My guess is we will be using the One Card past the announced Dec 31st
date.

Didn't we go through this already? I think there is some confusion
here about expiring comp points, new ownership and a new card system.
The One Club card system at the EW and CB is going to change, but we
just don't know any details at this point.

What we do know is this. It has been reported in print and confirmed
by several booth people, that all comp points earned prior to June
30, 2006 will expire on Dec. 31st. Cash back dollars? Comp points
earned after July 1, 2006? We just don't seem to have a definitive
answer to these questions.

The One Club card going away on Dec. 31st? It does not seem that is
going to happen. This is from the official One Club website: "One
Club will stay in place at Circus Circus Reno, and Edgewater and
Colorado Belle in Laughlin, NV. More information about their exciting
new programs will be coming soon."

With the pending sale, I really doubt they would roll out a whole new
card system for the 6 months or so period.

If you have any comp dollars earned prior to July 1, 2006, it would
be prudent to use them- or lose them. I cleaned out my comps and cash
back in Sept.

Here is some more official language about this issue from the One
Club website:

"You can also earn points for your slot play. You can still redeem
One Club Comp Dollars earned through June 30, 2006, at any
participating One Club resort and casino through December 31, 2006 or
exchange your Comp Dollars for Holiday Gift Shoppe Points! After
December 31, 2006, unused Comp Dollars will expire. After July 1, you
will be rewarded for your play on every trip so there's no need to
save Comp Dollars. And, by using your One Club card whenever you play
at participating casinos, you qualify for valuable rewards including
rooms, entertainment, fine dining."

Anyone know anything about "Holiday Gift Shoppe Points" ??
