What is most memorable hit, not counting first royal?

My most memorable, was a Royal on 6 coin quarter progressive. Bank of 12. I started playing
about 6:30 am, getting an early start before local teams showed. This is so far back the machines
only took quarters. My plan, start packing quarters in a machine. Plopping a jacket on next
machine and coining up next door machine for my wife, who was taking her time getting ready.
She really didn't want to play that early. I played for about 1 hour. The "pros" were just coming
in and setting $200 cans of quarters on machines and playing briskly. Just as my wife rounded
corner the royal popped up for me. $6043.00. That hit me just right. Once the jackpot hit,
all 11 machines started spitting quarters in hole in flat top. Players finding buckets to take .25
to cashier. All those regular locals, as should be, don't spend one cent more if not advantage play.

Since I wasn't part of gang some players actually expressed anger when they missed hit.
Physically slamming around showing anger. So distasteful, pros who can't take the heat.

That was memorable ...... Jeep

My most memorable hit? It was online, in my bedroom. I played a $100 for $100 match bonus, and was down to my last $23. I had been playing 4-lined JoB for 25-cents, so it was do or die time. I jacked up the denom to $1, essentially my last hand. BAM! Pat royal, times 4. Woohoo! Took a moment to register in my brain. I'm thinking, oh great, $4000, because I had been playing for quarters. I look at the balance, oh wait a minute, it says $16000. Holy crapsicle! I start yelling, and my big dog comes running in to see what my problem is. And I'm afraid she is going to knock the wires out of the computer and I haven't even set the hand. Anyway, all turned out ok, and I got paid. lol This was over ten years ago, in online gambling's prime, before they passed the so-called "port security act" and ruined everything. After that, I had to get dressed every day and go outside.

Playing DoubleDown Stud at the Taj, when the game was first introduced. I was dealt A-Q-J-K of Spades, and up popped the 10 after I doubled down my bet. The music starts playing, and the slot attendants come running - er, well, walking over. When they see what I'd hit they get on their radios and next thing I know, there are about 4 or 5 suits surrounding me as well. Turns out they'd never seen the DDS machine hit for a Royal before, and everyone wanted a look.

Took a while for them to bring me a check for the entire 20K, and I even got comped to a dinner in the Chinese restaurant. What made it especially memorable was that on the long drive down from Long Island, I'd mentioned to the bride that we should really start thinking about getting a new car, and we were thinking about how we'd budget for that while paying for the second kid's college tuition.

Thank you Taj, and the VP gods!

Mine wasn't on VP, but was the most memorable gambling night of my life.

I'd been playing a low volatility (read: BORING) VP machine at the Taj for 3 hours. I was actually getting tired and ready to call it a night, and had the same $100 in the machine that I'd started with. Nearby, there was a section of $5 slots, and I'd noticed that one of them had hit a lot of jackpots. No one played it long, just "hit and run".

So I decided to end my night by cashing out the ticket and taking a quick shot at the high limit slots...something I rarely do. I absent mindedly stuck in the ticket while adjusting the chair, juggling my drink and purse.....then looked at the machine to see only 4 credits. OMG....this was a $25 machine! WAY above my limit!

Annoyed with myself, and too irritated to move again, I decided I'd probably lose this either way, so WTH, I slapped the button, betting 2 credits. JACKPOT for $36K! By far the biggest I've ever hit. I was beside myself and in total shock. It took nearly a half hour to get the check, and the slot attendant said, "remember you still have two credits". I laughed and said "sure....like that could happen again". We were still chatting, and I hadn't even looked back at the machine when I smacked the button the second time....and JACKPOT for $14K. Unbelievable, that I had just won $50K by totally screwing up!

Of course, the adrenaline was pumping, so no bedtime now. Went back to the $5 VP, and played for hours, hitting a royal on the single line game. While waiting to get paid, I moved to the triple play machine next to it, and was dealt 4 Aces for $12K. After another day of play, I ended that weekend trip up $73K....by far the most winning trip I've ever had.

I still refer to it as "the fantasy night"....one I hope everyone has at least once during their gambling life!

Didn't happen to me, but I watched it.

In Frontier a guy playing $1 machine was holding 2 Qs. He missed hold pair and
drew only one, losing the going in pair. Cost him 5 bucks. The draw filled in a diamond
Royal. Nice screw up.

Cheers....Jeep

been a couple, saw a lady next to me hit the royal on the 9/6 job progressive at the old westward ho but was only playing 3 coins, she said because an "expert" said so, guess who, she then proceeded to demand the casino pay her for the full amount. So funny

I hit 4 ducks on NSUD 3 times in 45 minutes at the fireside lounge on 3 different machines. Kept moving because couples wanted to sit together.

Hit 4 ducks twice 3 hands apart waiting for my ex to get ready to leave

Hit a royal flush playing pick-em at a native casino

same casino hit a 3k+ royal on .25 progressive bank of 12 machines. got there at 4 am, bank was empty, hit on my first $20

Yeah, I hit a royal on Pick'em once too, it was kind of special. It was on an online casino. They paid me very fast, congratulated me, and then permanently locked my account. lol

Two royals a couple of hours apart playing $5 NSUD on a promotion at the Wendover Nugget. Both were in diamonds and both were three card catches. The first I held QT, the second I held JT.
