What happened to the Barbary Coast?

Where have I been???

My last trip to Las Vegas was September '06. Everything has finally
been worked out and yessssss!!! We have a trip planned for this
September. I've been on numerous links and forums trying to catch up on
what's happening in LV. Is the Barbary Coast gone? Was it too bought by
Harrah's? Boyd bought the other coasts, but they have their own players
club? I learned today the Frontier will be imploded on November 13.
Besides the downgrading of VP everywhere and the increases in the
prices of meals and rooms, are there any other major changes??

Yes. And Michael's restaurant moved to South Point.

Boyd bought the other coasts, but they have their own players
club? I learned today the Frontier will be imploded on November 13.

The smoking ban in restaurants, etc.

However, I'm sure you'll be happy to know the traffic is just as bad

Here's a little tidbit I got from a Harrah's employee I was playing
No-Limit (Oops!! The cats out of the bag now!!) Holdem with at
Caesars Palace one night last week. This is what he told me: "With
the City Center project in full swing the execs are talking about
knocking everything down from the Barbary Coast all the way up
through Harrah's and building their own City Center type project.
They think that if they don't they are going to have one hell of a
time competing once City Center comes online."
