What Do I Play?

All,
I'm new here.
I'm going to Imperial Palace in July. What machines do you look for?
From looking around vpFREE it looks like Deuces Wild where 4 of a kind
pays 5 to 1. Am I close to being right? I want to play the right
machines. My strategy will be to hang around as long as possible while
going for a natural royal flush. I want to play 25c machines too.

From the looks of it, the Palms may be my best bet for playing the
right machines. If I know what the right machine is.

Great website!

Chris

Hi! Look for 3 things, while examining this site (and others) to make your
decision:

1. High EV
2. Easy-to-learn and use strategy
3. Accompanying comps at the casino you are playing,

With personal taste, I think different people will come up with slightly different
choices. However, your thoughts about the Palms, I believe, are sending you
in the correct direction.

Good luck!

-Just reading into your statement moosh2, your bankrool might be the
biggest factor. Two or three hundred a day in nickel VP will last
you all day playing single line if playing 8- 10 hours a day, but in
quarters it might last an hour without some luck and skill.
Unfortantly not much for nickels on the strip. The skill can be
practiced on the VP software, get one. Take all the strategy cards
with you to vegas. The practice will help you understand the
volitily within the game you choose and the bankroll needed.
I agree with the other replys too. Good luck

I don't know about the rest of you, but I've certainly been paying
more attention to variance than EV lately. I'm on the brink of
having a bankroll big enough to really play comfortably at a
denomination over $.25, but I'm still being cautious. However, if I
have a specific point goal at a casino and they offer different FP
games in the higher denominations, I find myself choosing the lower
EV game with a much lower variance, such as JoB vs. DB. I get to my
point goal faster at the higher denomination and the low variance
keeps me in the game longer. Part of it also is I know I play JoB
more accurately than DB, even with the reminder that DB played with
perfect JoB strategy can yield a higher EV than just playing JoB.
