What are the odds?

I'm still a beginner and on my first trip to Laughlin last week, my last night, I was tired but after a late dinner I went to the $1JoB and put in one more $100 (I was down a little for the trip). I'm down to $10 and drew one for a small straight flush and $250! On the very next draw I had 4 to a RF in hearts--needed just the 10. I figured the odds against me were at least a million to one. Guess what...I was right! I didn't get it!!! I went to bed with the $250.
