what about online website gambling?

Hello, I am new here and this looks to be a very informative group!! I guess I see all the information in your database on various casinos, and I am left wondering, what about online gambling?

I have visited sites such as videopokerclassic, betmaxcasino, spinpalace and some others and I am just wondering what is everyone thoughts on these? I notice that they do offer incentives and just wondering if there is a real advantage to playing online?

I would imagine it may be more advantageous to play online, then you would have no travel expenses, worries about where to stay.. etc, etc.

In general, gambling over the Internet is considered
to be more risky because of a lack of regulation.
Many online casinos aren't even "located" in the U.S.

With regards to Video Poker: I've only done a little
bit of poking around on Internet gambling sites. But
from what I've seen most of the VP is short pay (less
than 100% payback).

Since I have never done any online gambling myself, what I am going
to say is strictly second hand info. based on what I have heard and
read about the subject.

There are people who do make money playing at online casinos. But
generally, they accomplish this by bonus hustling. They sign up, put
in enough play to qualify for whatever bonus the site is offering,
then they cash out and look for another bonus at some other casino
site. I'm sure it is more complicated than that in actual practice,
but you get the basic idea. If done correctly, the profit that you
get from the bonus will overwhelm your expected losses from the
actual game. Of course, there is always the possibility that you
won't get paid at all, not to mention concerns over whether or not
the game that you are playing is honest (i.e. truly random).

Hi, thank you for the replies.

In regard to your comment about online VP being short pay - Have you
factored in no travel costs, no staying in hotels, no meal expenses,
no taking time off of work? Seems to me that not having to pay any
of that would offset the payout not being 100%, maybe I am wrong? I
have seen a couple sites with 99.89% payback, not sure but maybe that
would be good enough?

But, that still leaves the question whether or not the site is honest
and the VP is truly random.

I've been playing online for three years. It does take research, discipline and patience (waiting to get paid, or wondering if you'll get paid). But it is still lucrative.

Here are some that I play:

Sci Fi Casino , is considered to be a reputable casino, has 5 cent FPDW plus deposit bonuses.
http://www.phoeniciancasino.com, is new and has no track record, has Joker Wild at 99.97% (not counting the sequential RF) plus 0.4% cashback, in single line to 100 play, 1 cent to $5.
Some of the Microgaming (9/6 Jacks) and Cryptologic (99.9% double bonus) casinos have weekly or monthly promotions which add 1% to 5% or more (based on the minimum wagering requirements).

Here's a site to get more info: http://www.wizardofodds.com/
