We're Off to Laughlin

Hi Gang:
Hedy and I will be climbing boarding an Allegiant jet out of Newark
Wednesday night for our five-night junket to Harrah's Laughlin and we're looking
forward to our first visit to this Colorado River retreat. We're also looking
forward to having a go at the 50-play nickel machines there that offer 9/6 JOB.
We want to keep our Seven Stars card for 2008 and since we've cut back on our
trips to Atlantic City, this should give us a good opportunity to pile up
some base rewards credits to help us achieve that goal.
By the way, our new "game plan" for 2008 seems to be working just fine so
far as we find our ourselves showing a $2,000 profit (including cashback) as
the first quarter of the year comes to a close. Having hit six royals (two for
$4,000) so far helps quite a bit, of course, but we've been very diligent
about following our new set of gambling rules, even aboard cruise ships.
Our latest visit with the royal family came this past Saturday at Harrah's
AC when Hedy banged out her fourth royal of the year while playing DB on a
triple-play machine near the 9/6 JOB bank. She held the Q-J-K of hearts and the
A-10 showed up on the second line for a nice $1,000 hit. I was playing $1 9/6
JOB at the same time and was in the process of increasing a $250 ticket to
$480. Her royal and my $230 profit wiped out a $700 loss from the day before
at Borgata (we stayed there one night), so we headed home with a nice surplus
for the weekend.
Hedy's royal was almost an instant replay from the one she hit three weeks
before during ATLarge weekend. We were staying at Showboat during the
tournament but traveled over to Harrah's to pick up some bonus cash on that Saturday
and Hedy again found herself playing at the same bank of triple-play
machines. This time she held the K-10-Q of hearts and got the A-J on the first line
for another $1,000 hit. That, and a good run on 50-cent DBDJ for both of us,
helped us show another appreciable profit for the weekend.
In between, we went on a seven-day cruise to the Western Caribbean on Royal
Caribbean's Liberty of the Seas (the largest cruise ship in the world) and,
believe it or not, we showed a $400 gambling profit for the trip on a very
limited amount of play. This was the result of Hedy twice hitting aces with a
kicker on DDB ($500 each) and my winning $350 one night playing $5-$10 limit
Hold Em and finishing third in the onboard blackjack tourney ($147 prize).
So, all systems are go as we head out West. I'll file a report about our
trip.
Regards,
CoachVee (Tom V) & Hedy

PS: We asked a number of our high-level employee friends at Harrah's
Saturday about the rumors concerning the closing of the Seven Stars Lounge and no
one knew anything about it. Most, in fact, seemed shocked that it would even be
considered.
