All in all not a nice experience, especially since I put through about
$40,000 on triple play 9/6 JB today ($1) and lost $$ before I was told my
tickets were "moved to Sat." Fortunately I didn't have other plans for Sat.

I had the same thing happen to me....first time in over 12 years of playing.
When Santana was coming to the Palms, the host said I was comped and the
procedure would be to meet in the VIP room and then we would be taken in to
the small venue by management . It was a "standing" show so we would be in
front.

I cleared my calendar for that day/evening. About two -3 days before the
event, the host called me at home to say they would not be comping me because
there was too much demand for the $200 (or whatever) tickets. I checked with
other players and the same thing happened to them. I wasn't that
disappointed but my thought was that I could have arranged that week's
calendar a bit differently. As you mentioned, good thing I didn't have
someone fly in from California.

From now on, I won't accept a comp unless they can give me tickets then and
there to have. This, reneging at the last minute is unheard of. Its like
we're on standby and MAYBE they'll throw us a bone. Things are changing in
this town!
