Weirdness at Caesars - re Celine show

Over a month ago I got a mailing from Caesars saying that 2 "VIP" tickets to
Celine Dion were waiting for me. When I called I was told I could PAY for
the tickets. I then contacted a host, who told me that she would comp 2
tickets and that they would be for tonight, April 3. I tried to pick up the
tickets in advance at the box office but was told they could only be picked
up after 4:30pm on day of show.

So I am sitting at a machine at Caesars today, waiting for my husband to
arrive so we could go to dinner and show. Then my host shows up and tells
me, "sorry -- but the show is overbooked so you can't get your tickets!"

But, she added, "You can get tickets for Sat. night instead." I asked her
what sort of tickets they would be and was told that I'd been booked for 2nd
balcony - so much for the "VIP" part! She said that since I was bumped I
will "probably" get 1st balcony seats on Sat.

All this doesn't make much sense to me. I booked over a month ago, and at
that time I had to give a credit card to "guarantee" my "comp" tickets. If I
could be bumped - what sort of "guarantee" was it?

And why is it easier to get tickets on a Saturday night than a Thursday?

All in all not a nice experience, especially since I put through about
$40,000 on triple play 9/6 JB today ($1) and lost $$ before I was told my
tickets were "moved to Sat." Fortunately I didn't have other plans for Sat.
- but what if I had flown into town for this show???

Anyway it all makes no sense to me.

Just great, I'm flying in today just to see Celine and staying at CP,
sounds like the same offer. The worst part is it's my Mother/
Daughter trip and my daughter is a huge fan of Celine Dion !!

This happened once at NYNY, very irritating.

This also happened to me at Treasure Island for the Paul McCartney concert
and is the main reason I no longer consider TI one of my primary strip
casinos. I did eventually get the tickets but it took a lot of phone calls
and whining. I have not been back since. I have tickets for Celine through
Caesars for April 23rd, I think, but I'll now call to confirm. I was also
promised non-gourmet food for 2 days.

Wanted to report I had no problem getting tickets as promised by the
marketing Department (I have no host at CP) I was scared till I got
them in my hot little hands. I'd suggest you pick them up as soon as
you can. I showed up 3-1/2 before the show to pick them up and was
greeted by a very long line in VIP. I had been there exactly one hour
prior (no line) and was told they were not ready to be picked-up for
another hour. Come back an hour later and the Mother of all lines
was waiting for me! However, a nice touch while we waited in-line,
they had lots of slot club personnel/ host there making dinner
reservations for you so you'd be set for the evening. We told them
where we wanted to eat and they got on the horn and made the
reservation for you while you were standing in line.

Lolly
